Nice, clear trail about 30 min drive from Mt Mitchell state park. Going clockwise from upper side we thought was best as the 2nd half of the loop was flatter and easier. Overall an easy-moderate trail. 3.5 miles took about 1.5 hours at an easy pace for 2 fit 60 yo's and our pit mix dog. Nice way to escape the heat
