Hotel 1928

Hotel 1928, located at 701 Washington St., is in the former Grand Karem Shrine Building. The name is inspired by the year it was built as a social club, but it more recently housed county offices.

Hotel 1928 is an excellent hotel. The room was clean and spacious with many nice touches. I enjoyed the dimmer switches so that the room was not too bright. The quality of the towels was excellent, and the furnishings were all top quality. The delivery of coffee to the room every day was really appreciated by my wife.Photo courtesy of Baylor University.
